About the Job
Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. Headquartered in San Francisco, our investors include Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D'Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey. This position is for a Data Science Expert on a contract basis with a commitment of 10+ hours per week.
Role Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights for model design.
- Develop and apply statistical models and machine learning techniques.
- Conduct performance assessments and quality reviews of AI outputs.
- Build reusable tools for data processing, visualization, and reporting.
- Collaborate with research teams to test hypotheses and scale workflows.
Qualifications
Must-Have: 3+ years experience in data science, machine learning, or a similar field; proficiency in Python and key libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn); familiarity with large-scale data and version control; strong skills in statistical analysis, experimental design, and model validation; effective written communication and collaboration across technical teams.
