The Opportunity: Data Collection Specialist
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and self-motivated Data Collection Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This remote position offers a competitive compensation of $100/hour and requires a strong commitment to following precise instructions and maintaining data quality. A key requirement for this role is access to a physical Mac.
Role Responsibilities
- Record screen sessions, clearly narrating each step while demonstrating specific tasks.
- Annotate screenshots of professional software, drawing precise bounding boxes around relevant UI elements.
- Follow provided staging instructions to accurately set up specific UI states before recording.
- Utilize a custom capture tool to ensure accurate and consistent workflow recordings.
- Adhere strictly to task guidelines to guarantee high data quality and usability.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Strong familiarity with professional software tools, including MATLAB, Origin, Stata, and EViews.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meticulously follow precise instructions.
- Comfortable working independently and consistently meeting tight deadlines.
- Access to a physical Mac and the capability to create a fresh macOS user profile if needed.
- Fluency in English is essential for clear communication and narration.
Preferred
- Prior experience in data collection, annotation, or quality assurance (QA) work.
- Experience in recording or documenting various workflows.
- Adept at working with new tools and navigating staged environments.
