Role Overview

Position: Writing Expert – Freelance, Remote Commitment: ~20+ hours/week Duration: ~2 weeks with potential for additional tasks Contribute to a high-impact AI research project by authoring prompt–golden answer pairs.

Responsibilities

• Review provided PDFs and select relevant content.
• Write clear, accurate, and insightful golden answers.
• Use Markdown for formatting; LaTeX preferred for technical details.
• Ensure examples are original and aligned with guidelines.
• Collaborate asynchronously with Mercor’s support team.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in humanities, education, STEM, or related fields.
• Strong writing skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Markdown (required) and LaTeX (preferred).
• Ability to understand and summarize complex content.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in prompt writing, technical editing, or curriculum design.

Engagement Details

$45/hour | Classified as an independent contractor | Remote and asynchronous work | Payments processed weekly via Stripe Connect
