Role Overview

Position: AI Task Designer – Contractor Engagement: Up to 40 hours per week, minimum 6 weeks duration Location: Remote Responsibility: Enhance large-language-model performance by creating and evaluating challenging tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Mercor coordinators and client research leads.
• Design creative and realistic tasks for AI models.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for clarity, accuracy, and comprehensiveness.
• Write gold-standard solutions to tasks and provide feedback.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Experience in technical writing, editing, or research analysis.
• Proven experience in creating Q&A, summaries, or problem-solving tasks.
• Strong fact-checking and editing skills.
• Analytical judgment to spot inconsistencies.
• Excellent written communication with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in reading-comprehension or curriculum design.
• Background in assessment authorship or instructional design.

Engagement Details

• Hourly contractor paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
• Remote work with flexible, asynchronous schedule.
• Start dates are rolling with rapid work trials.
• Applicants from the U.S., UK, Canada, or Australia only.

Application Process
