Bioinformatics PhD - Data Analysis Expert

Position: Bioinformatician
Type: Contract
Compensation: $60–$85/hour
Duration: 4 weeks
Commitment: Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Solve complex bioinformatics problems in transcriptomics, genomics, and virology.
- Analyze large biological datasets and submit analytical workflows as Jupyter notebooks.
- Work independently under a blind protocol with no prior context.
- Inform the evaluation of frontier AI models on scientific reasoning.
- Utilize Python and/or R for bioinformatics pipelines.
- Produce well-documented, reproducible Jupyter notebooks.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- PhD or Master's degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, or related field.
- Experience with at least 2 of: RNA-seq analysis, variant calling, metagenomic classification, epigenomic profiling, single-cell analysis, or population genetics.
- Proficiency in Python and/or R.
- Familiarity with command-line tools (e.g., samtools).
- Strong independent problem-solving ability.
Start Date
March; tasks assigned on a rolling basis.
