Position: AI Software Engineer - Integrations
This is a contract position with compensation ranging from $80–$120/hour, offered on a remote basis.
Role Responsibilities
- Ship production features across backend and frontend systems.
- Design and implement a scalable integrations framework.
- Build real-time analytics experiences.
- Architect an agentic tool-use layer compatible with MCP-style patterns.
- Set up strong engineering hygiene including testing, observability, and on-call readiness for the pilot.
- Iterate quickly and pragmatically on solutions.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Strong, practical software engineering skills, with the ability to ship end-to-end and unblock yourself.
- Experience building SaaS products, including working with APIs, data models, and production constraints.
- Deep comfort with integrations, including OAuth2, webhooks, API pagination, rate limiting, and sync semantics.
- A "vibe coding" mindset, effectively using AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT without sacrificing correctness.
- Familiarity with MCP-style tool interfaces and/or experience building tool servers.
- Clear communication skills to explain tradeoffs and maintain stakeholder alignment.
