Position: AI Content Specialist
As an AI Content Specialist at Mercor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing AI model understanding by meticulously analyzing and describing visual content. This position offers an opportunity to work independently and asynchronously, contributing directly to the quality and performance of advanced AI models.
Role Responsibilities
- Analyze images and write clear, detailed descriptions to improve AI model understanding.
- Identify key elements, context, and cultural references in visual content.
- Evaluate content quality against established guidelines to enhance AI model outputs.
- Apply consistent judgment across a variety of image types to elevate training data quality.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven writing experience.
- Ability to write with clarity and voice.
- Understanding of internet culture and visual storytelling.
- Attention to detail and ability to notice subtle context.
- Capability to follow detailed guidelines consistently.
Preferred
- Experience in social media management or content creation.
- Background in journalism, literature, communications, or media studies.
- Experience with annotation, transcription, or QA work.
Compensation & Commitment
This role offers competitive compensation at $30–$35/hour, requiring a commitment of 20+ hours/week. Paid onboarding is provided, with opportunities for ongoing work based on performance.
