Overview

Mercor Intelligence is seeking a Chinese Language Consultant to evaluate and refine AI-generated image and video content based on Chinese language prompts. In this role, you will provide detailed linguistic and cultural feedback to ensure accuracy, fluency, and cultural appropriateness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and critique AI-generated images and videos for linguistic accuracy.
  • Provide detailed cultural and language feedback for model enhancements.
  • Detect and correct translation issues and cultural inaccuracies.
  • Experiment with Gemini and other multimodal AI tools.
  • Document inconsistencies and failure modes to inform development.
  • Collaborate with AI researchers and technical teams.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Full professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
  • Deep understanding of Chinese culture, idioms, and regional diversity.
  • Familiarity with contemporary Chinese media and social dynamics.
  • Interest in generative AI and visual interpretation of linguistic inputs.
  • Strong attention to detail and clear written communication.
  • Experience in content evaluation or translation is a plus.

Additional Opportunity Details

  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Duration: 5 weeks (possible extension)
  • Commitment: Part-time, minimum 10 hours/week
  • Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous
  • Compensation: $28–$33/hr via weekly payments on Stripe Connect
  • Contract: Independent Contractor
