About the Role

As a Senior Communication and Change Management Consultant at Mercer, you will play a crucial role in helping companies of all sizes and industries tackle their most significant challenges. You will design and implement workforce strategies to foster growth and create an exceptional employee experience that attracts, retains, and empowers top talent.

This position, based in our Philadelphia, Boston, or Washington, D.C. office, focuses on helping clients promote their total rewards programs and enhance employee engagement. You will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships, selling projects that focus on change management and communication strategies, engagement and implementation plans, and associated deliverables. Your work will articulate client objectives, advance an employee value proposition, and drive behavior change through effective information transmission and feedback mechanisms. You will lead employee-facing change management and communication engagements across various industries and perform essential project management duties, including planning, budgeting, team coordination, and facilitation.

We will count on you to:

  • Manage large-scale project teams to deliver high-quality client results.
  • Oversee budgets, deadlines, and staff, delegating and reviewing client work.
  • Engage regularly with clients, lead meetings, and resolve complex issues.
  • Apply advanced change management and communication expertise to client projects.
  • Drive revenue through new client acquisition, cross-selling, and expanding existing relationships.
  • Develop tailored change management and communication strategies based on in-depth client culture and industry understanding.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, business, organizational effectiveness, communication, journalism, human resources, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in human resources consulting, with a proven ability to manage projects and generate revenue.
  • Experience managing and developing a team of professionals.
  • At least 3 years of experience writing corporate internal HR communications (e.g., compensation, benefits, policies).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with expertise in technical, marketing, and persuasive writing.
  • At least 5 years of proven track record in large, complex sales.

Compensation and Benefits:

The applicable base salary range for this role is $104,400 to $208,800. The final base pay will depend on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable minimum wage requirements. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives. We offer a competitive total rewards package including health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings, retirement programs, and employee assistance programs.
