Senior Account Manager, Strategic People Advisory at Mercer

Mercer Germany is looking for a Senior Account Manager, Strategic People Advisory to join our Strategic People Advisory team at our locations in Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, or Stuttgart.

With your expertise in account or relationship management, you will work closely with our clients in a key function. Together, we support companies in optimizing their performance in organizational and work structure, compensation, and incentive design. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage local and international top-tier clients, including needs assessment, solution-oriented consulting, proposal creation, contract negotiations, client presentations, after-sales support, and general client relationship management.
  • Cultivate and expand client relationships, ensuring high client satisfaction.
  • Drive business development for innovative and attractive products and services, including Total Rewards, Pay Equity & Transparency, Performance Management, Job Architecture, and Job Evaluation.
  • Acquire new business primarily through up-selling and cross-selling activities.
  • Collaborate internally with top consultants across the Marsh McLennan Group to expand external business relationships.

What You Bring

  • Initial or several years of professional experience (depending on level) in client management and client acquisition within Professional Services/HR Consulting, ideally with a focus on Rewards or Mobility.
  • Enjoy building internal and external relationships and networks, with an affinity for sales and collaboration within international teams.
  • Proficiency in contract management and negotiation.
  • Strong team player with high client orientation, demonstrating a professional and confident demeanor when interacting with external and internal clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, intercultural sensitivity, and relationship management abilities.
  • Understanding of data preparation, processing, and analysis.
  • Very good knowledge of common MS Office applications.
  • Fluent German and English language skills (negotiation level).
  • Desire for continuous development and taking on responsibility.
