Job Summary
The Manager, Marketing Technology is a hands-on operator within the acquisition team, responsible for the performance and continuous improvement of the systems that drive our acquisition efforts. This role bridges the gap between paid media, web capture, CRM (Salesforce), lifecycle automation, and analytics to enhance marketing and sales efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate is proficient in modern automation techniques (no-code/low-code and/or light scripting), comfortable working with Salesforce and BI/reporting tools, and eager to leverage AI tools and agent-based workflows to speed up implementation, troubleshooting, and iteration.
Essential Job Functions For This Role Include
Acquisition Systems & Growth Tech Operations
- Oversee the operational health of acquisition workflows across the entire funnel (capture → CRM → follow-up → measurement), ensuring reliability, speed, and accuracy.
- Build and maintain integrations and automations between systems like CRM, forms/scheduling tools, paid media platforms, and reporting pipelines using modern integration approaches (native connectors, no-code/low-code platforms, and/or light scripting).
- Identify and automate high-impact manual processes to create scalable workflows and clearer operating procedures.
Salesforce (CRM) Administration & Enablement
- Manage acquisition-facing Salesforce configuration and administration for marketing and sales workflows, including key fields, lifecycle stages, routing logic, attribution inputs, validation rules, and automations.
- Ensure CRM data generated by acquisition systems is accurate, consistently structured, and usable for downstream reporting and optimization.
- Collaborate with Technology and Product teams on platform-level changes while independently handling day-to-day configuration, QA, and ongoing maintenance for acquisition workflows.
Adtech & Commercialization
- Partner with technology teams to launch key initiatives aimed at improving conversion rates, such as lead scoring and lead routing.
- Maintain and optimize ongoing AdTech systems, including audience creation and value-based bidding logic.
Analytics Enablement (Power BI or Equivalent)
- Enhance the reliability and usability of dashboards by ensuring upstream systems provide consistent, well-defined, and reliable data inputs.
- Support back-end data processes, such as connecting marketing platforms to Power BI dashboards or other reporting tools.
- Facilitate CRM-to-paid-platform measurement signals (e.g., lifecycle-based conversion events), ensuring accurate data capture and reliable mapping.
- Maintain clean tracking and measurement across acquisition channels by managing campaign metadata, taxonomy, and conversion definitions.
- Implement lightweight validation checks to catch data issues early and prevent silent degradation of decision-making or prospect experience.
Monitoring, QA, and Operational Reliability
- Utilize tools like Zapier to implement automated monitoring and alerting for critical workflows, enabling quick detection of failures (e.g., missing records, broken handoffs, integration issues, unexpected data behavior).
- Collaborate with the analytics team to establish robust QA processes (testing, change control, documentation/runbooks) to ensure improvements are repeatable and do not introduce regressions.
AI Tools & Agent-Based Workflows
- Employ AI tools and agent-based workflows (e.g., Claude) to accelerate the design, documentation, debugging, and iteration of acquisition systems and automations.
- Identify high-leverage opportunities where AI-assisted workflows can improve speed, quality, or reliability, while maintaining appropriate guardrails and human oversight.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- 5–8+ years of experience in acquisition operations, marketing operations, growth operations, marketing technology/adtech, CRM operations, or analytics enablement.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining integrations and automations across marketing/sales systems (no-code/low-code and/or light scripting) and paid media platforms (e.g., Meta, Google, etc.).
- Experience with CRM systems, with high comfort in Salesforce, particularly in areas related to automation and data integrity (attribution fields, contact/opportunity objects, validation rules, automations).
- Proficiency with automation tools such as Zapier.
- Experience supporting BI/reporting environments (Power BI or equivalent) through strong upstream data ownership.
- Bonus: familiarity with light/AI-based coding.
