Overview

Shape the future today with Mercedes-Benz Vans. The Research and Development Intern will join an international automotive development team working on electrical engineering components, vehicle harness analysis, and digital network topologies. This role involves interdisciplinary collaboration with departments such as assembly planning, logistics, quality, and HQ development in Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Support technical upfitter solutions as a development engineer.
  • Lead projects for future upfitter solutions from a technical perspective.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and upfitter management.
  • Coordinate with HQ development for detailed technical analysis.
  • Review mechanical and electrical integration of vehicle upfits.
  • Assist in prototype building and demonstration van activities.
  • Create and present technical presentations for executive management.
  • Provide transparency through status reports and project meeting documentation.

Qualifications

Candidates should be recent graduates or current students (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Practical experience is preferable, with additional emphasis on project management and the automotive industry. German language skills are a plus.
