About the Role
As the Software Project Leader - IT Credits at Mercado Libre, you will design and scale innovative and secure systems that address real, high-impact problems in e-commerce and financial services across Latin America.
Responsibilities
- Lead and build a backend software engineering team in Buenos Aires.
- Ensure solution reliability and scalability through observability and cost optimization strategies.
- Manage product roadmaps aligning business priorities and dependencies.
- Coordinate with risk, product, and infrastructure teams to drive solution adoption.
- Integrate generative AI tools to enhance team productivity and system reliability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading software backend teams and projects.
- Strong technical background in Golang, Java, REST APIs, and both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience in operating production solutions with multiple stakeholders.
- Track record of planning and executing agile projects delivering business value.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid, with the main site located at Polo Dot, AMBA, Buenos Aires.
