About the Software Expert role at Mercado Libre
As a Software Expert at Mercado Libre, you will design and scale innovative and secure systems that solve real and high-impact problems. You will work in a dynamic environment with cutting-edge technology, applying good engineering practices, proprietary AI models, and continuous learning, with the purpose of democratizing e-commerce and financial services in Latin America.
Imagine undertaking challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects, being responsible for:
- Leading the design and implementation of Artificial Intelligence architectures, ensuring product excellence, scalability, and maintainability.
- Planning and prioritizing improvements in applications and processes, managing technical debt and the evolution of the technological stack.
- Guaranteeing the resilience and performance of AI applications, managing technical SLAs, uptime, and vulnerabilities.
- Defining and measuring product health metrics, ensuring proper incident and post-mortem management.
- Driving the technical evolution of the team through mentoring and training in hard skills.
What we look for in a Software Expert
- Solid knowledge in Go or similar languages and experience in developing SaaS or PaaS products.
- Experience in designing microservices architectures and event-oriented systems.
- Experience in technical leadership of backend, data, or machine learning teams in highly complex contexts.
- Mastery of observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or similar.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence tools and platforms for implementing high-impact solutions.
