Social Media Manager The Women's Game

Men in Blazers is the No. 1 Soccer Media Network in the U.S. With a wide reach and a diverse, vocal fan base, we engage with teams, players, celebrity fans, and brands we love, to share our passion for soccer across the nation. Using humor, emotion, intelligence, and to-the-minute pop cultural aptitude, we provide fans with unique content that breaks down the biggest stories in the game in ways that are authentic, meaningful, and compulsively entertaining.

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to join and lead our social media strategy for The Women's Game (TWG), storytelling, and community engagement across all of our social platforms. This role plays a critical role in shaping, and communicating, our social media tone and voice across the entire US Soccer community.

The Women’s Game (TWG) Social Media Manager

Location: United States, Remote

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all social media and promotional activities across The Women's Game, including X, Meta, TikTok, Discord, Reddit, etc.
  • Lead strategic development and ensuring it is implemented across channels.
  • Lead a team that provides complete newsroom-like coverage of global football in the TWG unique voice of passion, empathy, courage, and joy.
  • Stay up to the minute on changing social media algorithms, their changes, and how they affect our coverage and content.
  • Identify the best “social” content from video podcasts and oversee editing to ensure social edits meet all creative and platform standards.
  • Work across the wider production teams to ideate, create, and deliver unique content.
  • Continuously develop new strategies that capture and take advantage of the ever changing social media algorithms.
  • Collaborate with team and platform specialists to identify trends in social media content production to allow the TWG social channels the ability to continue to stay up to date on changing algorithms and trends.
  • Establish, and A/B test, social media strategies to best capitalize on the great community that TWG social media engages with.
  • Work in collaboration with larger Men in Blazers Media Network Marketing Team to ensure we leverage social channels to promote merch, ticket sales, other TWG initiatives.

What You Need

  • Over 5 years of experience in nonstop social media leaderships, preferably in a newsroom-like, soccer environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in managing a team.
  • Documented experience in developing strategies that increase viewership, engagement, reach, and eventually follower/subscriber growth.
  • Strong ability to track and analyze social media performance data.
  • An encyclopedic knowledge (Socrates level, the one from Brazil) of the game of soccer all across the globe. Ability to manage a global team, and the flexibility to be available around major happenings in global soccer.
  • GFOP level understanding of the current, and historical, tone of the Men in Blazers media network.
