Program Overview

The Nursing Professional Development Specialist is tasked with designing, implementing, and overseeing the Clinical Youth Apprenticeship Program in collaboration with CareerWise New York. This role shapes the professional development of future healthcare leaders and enhances MSK's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and evaluate the youth apprenticeship program.
  • Coordinate orientation, in-services, and continuing education.
  • Supervise apprentices and manage scheduling.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Innovate strategies for apprentice learning and development.

Key Qualifications

  • Active NYS RN License required.
  • Master’s degree in nursing education preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience with program management.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Nursing Professional Development certification preferred.

Core Skills

Strong teaching, facilitation, collaboration, and leadership skills with adaptability to overcome challenges.
