Business Development & Operations Coordinator (Part-Time)
Melbourne Art Services is a high-end fine art installation company working across residential, gallery, and design-led environments. We collaborate closely with interior designers, architects, and builders to deliver considered, precise outcomes for each project.
We are seeking a highly organised and commercially aware coordinator to contribute to both relationship development and day-to-day operations. This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in interior design, architecture, or a related industry, who understands how to communicate with designers, builders, and high-end clients.
Key Focus Areas:
- Building and nurturing relationships with interior designers, architects, and builders
- Identifying and developing opportunities with aligned clients and projects
- Managing outreach and maintaining a considered pipeline of work
- Assisting with scheduling, quoting, and project coordination
- Supporting the delivery of a highly detailed and premium client experience
About You:
- Experience managing client relationships or pipeline activity (not just administrative support)
- Experience within a design studio, architecture practice, or similar environment is highly regarded
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a refined and professional tone
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and exercise sound judgement
- Comfortable managing both relationship-focused work and administrative responsibilities
- Proactive and confident in initiating and developing professional relationships
Skills & Systems (Highly Regarded):
- CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar)
- LinkedIn and email-based outreach
- Project coordination and scheduling tools (e.g. Google Calendar, Asana, Trello)
- Quoting and invoicing platforms (e.g. Xero)
- Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
Additional Strengths:
- Ability to research and identify aligned clients within the art, design, and construction industry
- Confidence managing client communication in a high-end, service-driven environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills across multiple projects
- High level of attention to detail, particularly in documentation and coordination
