As a Relief Pharmacist, you play a personal role within your community by ensuring that patients receive the medication and care they need. You must practice the profession of pharmacy in an environment that, by philosophy and policy, promotes patient care and education, including patient consultations and immunizations. You will also mentor, train, and guide Pharmacy Technicians.

What You'll Be Doing as a Relief Pharmacist

• Fill prescriptions accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and have a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Demonstrate competence and knowledge of Meijer policies and procedures.
• Possess effective communication skills and act as an agent of change.
• Exhibit excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Listen to patients and resolve their needs.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, you will be responsible for pharmacy operations.

What You Bring With You (Qualifications)

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice (Illinois).
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems, policies and procedures, and understanding of regulatory requirements in the state the unit operates.
