About The Role

The Automation Engineer will lead the design, evaluation, and deployment of advanced automation solutions across the logistics network. This role focuses on improving system reliability, reducing operational costs, and extending machine longevity while driving innovation in sorting, material handling, and warehouse automation.

What You Will Do

Key responsibilities include:

  • Technology Scouting: Stay updated on emerging automation, robotics, and control technologies.
  • Vendor Evaluation: Compare automation vendors based on performance, reliability, maintainability, and ROI.
  • System Design & Innovation: Design integrated automation systems to enhance throughput and efficiency.
  • Predictive Maintenance: Implement sensor data analysis for maintenance and uptime maximization.
  • Breakdown RCA: Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of failures.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance and operational costs.
  • Machine Longevity: Recommend improvements to extend equipment life.
  • Prototype & Testing: Collaborate with vendors and teams to pilot and scale new technologies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with operations, product, and software teams for seamless integration.

What You Will Need

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering; 3–7 years of experience in automation, robotics, or material handling systems; strong understanding of control systems, sensors, drives, PLCs, and HMI; analytical, cost-conscious, and design-oriented mindset with hands-on troubleshooting skills.
