Role Overview

Medtronic is seeking a Software Enterprise Engineering Manager with over 17 years of product development experience, including a minimum of 10 years in medical device development & verification. This role focuses on distributed product development, technical leadership, and global stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a cross-functional engineering team (SW, FW, Systems) of 20+.
  • Blend people management with technical leadership in product development.
  • Coach technical leads on design controls and regulatory standards (IEC 60601, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971).
  • Oversee agile and waterfall software development processes, verification, and validation.
  • Support global product development projects and regional growth initiatives.
  • Mentor junior team members in both technical and soft skills.

Required Knowledge & Experience

Candidates should have hands-on expertise in systems engineering, software development (C#/C++, Python), and real-time systems. Familiarity with medical device regulations and design controls, including 510K and CFR 820.30, is essential.
