Role Overview - Cloud Engineer

This role is based in Kleve or Arnhem/Utrecht, with plans to move to a new office in central Utrecht in summer 2025. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the EU cloud infrastructure ensuring scalability and high availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously maintain and scale the EU cloud infrastructure.
  • Participate in architecture and design sessions.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve critical issues.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams.
  • Create and update technical standards documentation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years technical experience in systems design and support.
  • Deep working knowledge of container applications on Azure Kubernetes Service or on-premise.
  • Expertise in Terraform Cloud for Business and Azure Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux Server systems.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure devops, Jenkins, Artifactory).
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, log collection tools, and infrastructure performance monitoring tools like Prometheus and Splunk.
  • Experience with Rancher is a plus and understanding of Agile/DevOps methodologies.
