EMR Business Analyst

Job Summary

As our EMR Business Analyst at Medicus IT, you'll work collaboratively with clients to support, configure, and optimize their eClinicalWorks environments. We require a strong communicator with experience in eClinicalWorks to deliver best in class advisory services for our Healthcare clients.

Responsibilities

Analysis:

• Conduct observations to identify areas for improvement and workflow redesign.
• Review and propose improvements to optimize practice performance metrics.
• Generate assessment reports with findings and detailed recommendations.
• Gather requirements from project sponsors and executives.
• Participate in client discovery and sales calls.

Account Management:

• Assist clients with planning and managing implementations, integrations, data migrations and upgrades.
• Conduct recurring calls to discuss status of tickets and projects.
• Provide updates on enhancements that improve workflows and patient experience.
• Track tasks and maintain project materials and client goals.
• Communicate with vendors and ensure timely task completion.

Support:

• Act as escalation point for internal team issue resolution.
• Perform monthly maintenance and meet SRA requirements.
• Provide remote and onsite support for practices implementing or upgrading EHR/EPM systems.
• Assist with system modifications and routine updates.
• Maintain a knowledge base for documented issues and workflows.

Training:

• Oversee and update training materials for various sessions.
• Conduct classroom and one-on-one training sessions.

System Administration & Customization:

• Serve as a super user/admin to maintain standard configurations.

Reporting:

• Assist users with running clinical and financial reports.
• Connect practice workflows with eClinicalWorks setup to enhance reporting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Customize and configure eClinicalWorks for various requirements.
• Evaluate eClinicalWorks build and features for problem resolution.
• Document clinic processes and design workflow improvements.
• Understand healthcare best practices including patient flow and compliance.
• Knowledge of healthcare data concepts and the medical billing process.
• Strong team player, able to lead teams or work independently.
• Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
