About the Role

The Research Data Linkages and Data Provisioning Lead will join the Clinical Practice Research Datalink team within the Safety and Surveillance group at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. This full-time, 24-month fixed term contract/internal move position is based in Canary Wharf, London, UK. The role supports the delivery of observational research services and leads strategic initiatives around data linkage and data provisioning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee delivery of team operations and priorities
  • Lead data linkage and data provisioning initiatives
  • Enhance observational research services through strategic projects
  • Communicate and liaise with clients, stakeholders, and collaborators
  • Contribute to CPRD’s data governance and Trusted Research Environment transition
  • Prepare strategic papers for Senior Management Team review
  • Manage team performance and resources effectively

Who We Are Looking For

Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent experience in epidemiology, medical statistics or a related field, alongside a track record in leading epidemiological research using large electronic health records databases. Advanced project management skills and experience in aligning multiple projects with strategic priorities are essential.

The Selection Process

Initial sift criteria include a proven track record in leading epidemiological research. Further assessments include Civil Service Success Profiles and a thorough review of technical, behavioral, and experience criteria.

Work Arrangement and Location

This role is hybrid with a requirement to attend the office on-site at 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London. A minimum of 4 to 8 days per month on-site is expected depending on business needs.
