About The Role

As a Laundry Assistant at MAACG, you will be a valued team member reporting to the Home Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-standard laundry services for the home and its residents within a supportive team environment. This is a Permanent Part-time position, requiring 19.5 hours per fortnight. Previous experience in an aged care setting is highly desirable.

About You

We are seeking a highly organised, energetic, and self-motivated individual with excellent time management and flexibility. You will possess strong teamwork skills, empathy, and compassion.

Essential Skills and Competencies

• Laundry Assistant qualifications (Certificate III or IV) and/or significant experience in a similar position.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
• Friendly and positive personality.
• Proven experience working in an aged care laundry setting.
• A passion for working in aged care.
• Computer skills.
• Understanding of Hygiene and Safety practices in aged care.
• Current police check.
• Valid working rights (visa/VEVO and/or passport).
• Seasonal Influenza Vaccination (Highly Desirable).
• COVID vaccination (Highly Desirable).

Desirable Experience and Qualifications

• Understanding of Aged Care Standards, accreditation, and continuous improvement requirements.
• Proven experience in a residential aged care or hospital environment providing care to the elderly.
