About the Role
Medcor is seeking a full-time, bilingual Spanish-speaking Registered Nurse for our 24/7 Occupational Health triage call center. This role involves handling workplace injuries and improving healthcare for employees by managing calls, documenting incidents, and utilizing proprietary algorithms for triage. The position requires excellent communication skills, strong technological proficiency, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of incoming calls from Medcor customers.
- Document each call efficiently and accurately in the system.
- Monitor and track individual and call center productivity metrics.
- Adhere to personal schedule and shift activities.
- Provide superior customer service to clients and employees.
- Conduct accurate symptom assessment using Medcor’s Triage Algorithms.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA policies.
Requirements
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
- Valid RN license and current BLS (CPR) certification.
- Ability to handle a high volume of consecutive calls.
- Strong technological skills and a typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
- Availability to work a major U.S. holiday rotation and every other weekend.
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to sit and use hands for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Specific vision abilities including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- A private, dedicated workspace at home with 4 walls and a door for patient privacy.
- Access to high-speed internet (no satellite) at the primary residence.
- Ability to receive and apply feedback.
Training and Schedule
- 6 weeks of mandatory training (3 weeks classroom, 3 weeks precepting), Monday-Friday, 8a-4p CT.
- Post-training permanent schedule: 8-hour shifts between 4:00pm and 4:00am.
- Requires every-other-weekend work and holiday rotation.
- Schedule changes are restricted for the first 9 months.
