About the Business Configuration Analyst Role
As a Business Configuration Analyst, you will be a key player, working closely with various business areas such as Sales, Implementation, and IT. Your primary focus will be on the design of new benefit packages for seamless configuration into the claims processing system.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing benefit package requirements.
- Providing feedback to stakeholders regarding feasibility and requirements for benefit configuration.
- Entering benefit data on claims processing systems according to approved benefit structure.
- Setting up new policies on applicable administrative systems and revising existing policies.
- Performing all activities related to the onboarding of new groups, as well as revision of existing groups, within established accuracy and efficiency performance targets, while working with multiple teams.
- Analyzing and responding to general and complex inquiries from members, internal/external stakeholders, including brokers, in a timely manner.
- Maintaining and updating workflow/tools with appropriate documentation.
- Adhering to and interpreting business processes in a timely manner.
- Acting as a key contact to support daily decisions and provide recommendations for operational efficiencies.
- Troubleshooting all inquiries relating to Administration service issues.
- Demonstrating exceptional customer service.
What you bring to the role
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, computer science, or a related field—or equivalent experience (1–3 years).
- Experience in roles such as Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in data management, query writing, and optimization.
- Proficiency with tools such as Discoverer, SQL, data analysis, and Power BI.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a client-focused mindset.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture.
- Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and adaptable to various audiences.
- Customer-focused, innovative, and positive attitude.
