About the Assistant Services Manager Role

We are searching for an exceptional Assistant Services Manager to join our Bourke St Flagship team. This role is your opportunity to sit at the heart of our world-class services offer supporting the Services Manager in delivering extraordinary customer experiences and leading a high-performing team of specialists. With your passion for beauty, coaching expertise, and drive for operational excellence, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping what the future of beauty services looks and feels like.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Upholds MECCA's customer experience standards by delivering a consistent and exceptional services experience, and confidently coaching the specialist team to do the same
  • Implements strategies to drive customer bookings for workshops, events, services, and promotions, ensuring flawless delivery every time
  • Works with the Services Manager and Trading Managers to review services experience data, identifying successes and opportunities to continuously raise the bar
  • Leads by example and provides objective, on-the-spot coaching and feedback to specialist team members
  • Works closely with the Services Manager and Trading Managers to optimise the services roster, ensuring specialists are in the right place at the right time
  • Contributes to the onboarding of new specialist team members and plays a critical role in building the specialist talent pipeline
  • Manages the services roster and booking tool availability with accuracy, optimising platform availability to support occupancy and team scheduling.
  • Partners with concession partners to support efficiency and occupancy in the Atelier
  • Supports the Services Manager in implementing the MECCA Trade Plan for Store Services
  • Monitors supplies and tester levels across all service zones, including the Beauty Lab, ensuring the team is always set up for success

What you'll bring to this Assistant Services Manager role:

  • Experience leading and coaching a team in a premium or service-focused retail environment
  • A genuine passion for beauty and an ability to create meaningful, memorable customer experiences
  • Strong product knowledge and application skills across at least one core beauty category
  • Confident and clear communication style, with the ability to engage and energise a specialist team
  • A drive for results and accountability, with strong organisation and time management skills
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced flagship environment
  • Experience with roster management and workforce optimisation (desirable)
