Overview

As the Executive Director Academic Design Science within the K-12 division, you will work to create market-leading science instructional materials embraced by teachers and enjoyed by students. Reporting directly to the Chief Academic Officer, you will manage and inspire a team of academic designers while collaborating with product management, product marketing, product design, user experience, and technology teams.

How You Can Make an Impact

You will use your expertise in science, pedagogy, content standards, and instructional design to:

  • Develop instructional models for both print and digital formats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design strategic products.
  • Set portfolio-level strategies, priorities, and resource plans.
  • Participate in industry events and advisory boards to stay ahead.
  • Monitor quality, efficiency, and impact using performance metrics.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred), 12+ years in K-12 science educational product development, and 6+ years of managerial experience. Demonstrated success in managing large teams (including vendors and contractors) is essential. Experience with the instructional adoption process and agile environments is a plus.
