Job Summary

The Information Governance Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the firm's Information Governance program. This position involves the detailed review of client and non-client data associated with attorney and business professional departures. The analyst will execute review plans to safeguard client privileges and ensure firm proprietary data remains confidential. Strong technology and data analysis skills are essential, including proficiency in data analysis tasks and potentially processing and loading documents onto a document review platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process, extract, convert, and manipulate data using eDiscovery software and forensic tools.
  • Support Information Governance Counsel in reviewing and transferring data during attorney departures and other information governance projects.
  • Document, execute, and track electronic data processing requests via a ticketing system and assist with project tracking.
  • Prepare data from eDiscovery software for review, including running search terms and setting up reviews according to established guidelines.
  • Review large volumes of client and non-client documents to maintain client privileges, confidentiality, and firm proprietary information.
  • Manage departing attorney expectations regarding data transfer timelines.
  • Accumulate, manage, and summarize document review statistics and metrics.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience, preferably within a large law firm.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a professional services environment.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Capacity to handle and maintain highly confidential information.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
