Job Overview

McDermott International, Ltd is seeking an Internal Audit Intern to join the Audit Services Team. Reporting directly to the Sr. Mgr. Internal Controls, you will assist in financial, operational, business process, and compliance audit activities, including independent reviews when required. Ideal candidates are energetic, flexible, innovative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assist in identifying business objectives, risks, and evaluating key controls.
• Perform test work in accordance with the audit program under guidance.
• Prepare workpapers that document test work, observations, and conclusions.
• Identify opportunities to use data analytics for improved audit coverage.
• Collaborate with Management on solutions and track remediation.
• Ensure administrative efficiency with timely audit procedures.
• Work effectively as a team member to accomplish goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Learn engineering/construction industry concepts such as project management and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, engineering, or a related field.
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data analysis software.
• Willing to comply with McDermott's Business and Legal Compliance policies.
• Familiarity with the Institute of Internal Auditor’s International Professional Practices Framework is a plus.
