Job Description

Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Media, you will lead the development and execution of integrated media strategies across some of McCormick’s core European brands. This Media Manager role is pivotal in driving media excellence across both traditional and digital channels, with a strong focus on Paid Search, Programmatic, and Social Media (paid, earned, and owned). You will act as a strategic partner to regional and local marketing teams, ensuring media investments are insight-led, performance-driven, and aligned with brand objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Media Strategy and Leadership
  • Develop and operationalize holistic media strategies across EMEA, spanning TV, Connected TV/OTT, DOOH, Search, Display, Programmatic, and Social. Championing a media-neutral, consumer-centric approach to planning and execution.
  • Partner with local marketing teams, finance, procurement, and creative teams to deliver integrated campaigns that reflect the full consumer journey and brand values.
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance across paid, earned, and owned social media. Ensure cohesive brand storytelling and performance across platforms, working closely with content and community teams.

Performance and Analytics
  • Create and deliver EOC insights across all paid activations with a focus on storytelling and actionability.
  • Utilize all available ad platforms to QA campaigns in real time and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Improve delivery of media buys through real time insights and in-flight optimization across PPC, programmatic, and social.
  • Deliver data driven creative insights and best practices to creative partners ahead of asset production.

Paid Search Ownership
  • Lead the Paid Search strategy across responsible markets, including performance evaluation, budget optimization, and alignment with broader digital marketing goals.
  • Collaborate with agencies and internal teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Agency and Partner Management
  • Collaborate with media agencies to guide planning, execution, and optimization.
  • Provide input into budgeting processes and ensure adherence to media best practices and benchmarks.
  • Proactively build strong working relationships with platform partners and attend regular business reviews.

Media Innovation And Trends
  • Identify and scale innovative media opportunities that deliver measurable impact.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and provide thought leadership to internal stakeholders.
  • Cultivate subject matter expertise on media-driven media landscape including proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively and diplomatically.

Qualifications

  • BA/BSc in Marketing, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Proven experience in media strategy and execution across traditional and digital channels.
  • Strong understanding of digital media, biddable analytics, CPG/FMCG industry, and competitive landscape.
  • Knowledge of media ecosystem and platforms (Google Suite, Meta, DSPs).
  • Experience leading projects and cross functional teams, including proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively and diplomatically.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to navigate complex / new situations.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with internal and external partners – including outside media agencies, creative, delivery teams, business analytics team, and platform teams.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Technical expertise including excellent knowledge of MS Office programs (Power Point, Excel, Word).
  • Strong working knowledge of ad platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MSc/BA/BSc in Marketing, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Ads manager, Meta Ads manager, TikTok Ads manager, DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk etc.) and GA4.
  • CPG/FMCG background preferred.
  • Advanced experience leading multiple projects effectively and diplomatically.
  • Ability to translate quantitative data into actionable insights through storytelling.
