Job Description
About MBDA
At MBDA, the meaning of our mission unites us: contributing to the sovereignty of nations and preserving our security and freedom in Europe. To achieve this, collaboration and trust are essential. MBDA faces unique challenges in responding to the needs of the armed forces against new threats. Motivated by technological challenges, we push the boundaries of innovation, science, and technology to develop cutting-edge solutions. We encourage self-improvement in a unique environment that offers opportunities for everyone. Together, we are proud of the role we play.
Your Work Environment
Join the Directorate that designs, manufactures, and tests our missile systems and associated equipment throughout the development cycle! Within several project teams, you will regularly interface with different professions: electrical architects of the missile, project managers, the mechanical design office, component selection/preparation and methods, missile integration teams, and production teams.
Your mission is the study and development up to series production of onboard interconnection materials (harnesses, looms, and electrical equipment).
Your Daily Life
Your main responsibilities include:
- Designing and specifying electrical/electronic materials/equipment, justifying your choices through theoretical electrical dimensioning calculations.
- Participating in the justification of the electromagnetic performance of the electrical network.
- Participating in the industrialization of products with suppliers specializing in wiring/interconnection.
- Creating electrical schematics (electrical CAD) and mechanical drawings (mechanical CAD) for harnesses, and definition files for materials.
- Integrating materials, performing debugging tests, and characterizing material performance.
- Conducting technical expertise on faulty equipment, leveraging internal expert departments.
- Managing work assigned to internal design engineers and equipment suppliers.
- Providing reports to project managers and contributing to the development of skills, tools, and processes for the profession.
The Perks of the Offer
- Activity covering the entire development cycle of electrical materials and onboard interconnections.
- Numerous multidisciplinary interactions.
Your Profile
With a higher education degree (Bac+5) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering with an Electrical option, or equivalent, you possess a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the development, testing, and series production of electrical/electronic materials. You are proficient in electrical and mechanical CAD tools, comfortable with complex system architecture, and electrical interconnection technologies and components (connectors, cables, relays, etc.). You are particularly interested in electromagnetic environments (finite element modeling tools for these phenomena), communication buses (ETHERNET), and optical links. Given the group's international environment, your English is operational.
Your rigor, combined with your creativity, organizational skills, and critical thinking, will facilitate your integration. The team of experienced engineers and a personalized training program are there to help you gradually take on all subjects, ensuring a progressive and supported career path.
You will experience the adventure of a complete cycle: from theoretical calculations to digital electrical and mechanical design, prototype manufacturing, performance testing, system integration, and finally series industrialization of our wiring.
If technological challenges excite you, join us!
Establishment subject to administrative investigation in accordance with the provisions of Articles R.2311-1 et seq. of the French Defense Code and IGI No. 1300 of August 9, 2021.
