Job Description

Cablage Technician

At MBDA, the meaning of our mission unites us: contributing to the sovereignty of nations and preserving our security and freedom in Europe. To achieve this, collaboration and trust are essential. MBDA faces unique challenges to meet the needs of armed forces against new threats. Motivated by technological challenges, we push the boundaries of innovation, science, and technology to develop top-tier solutions. We encourage self-improvement in a unique environment that offers opportunities to each of us. Together, we are proud of the role we play.

Your Work Environment

Within the "Technologies and Prototype Assemblies" department, you will join a team of about twenty people (including 5 prototype technicians for electronic boards and wired interconnections). You will be responsible for creating cables intended to interconnect electronic and electrical equipment and for manually cabling them.

Your Daily Life

Your main activities include:

  • Analyzing realization documents or the definition file.
  • Creating mock-ups and prototypes from the schematic diagram.
  • Performing soldering operations (lead-free), gluing, connections, and crimping.
  • Modifying already made sub-assemblies based on evolution requests.
  • Proposing solutions to implement modifications for industrializing equipment.
  • Performing self-checks in accordance with the company's technical standards or applicable norms.
  • Verifying the conformity of mock-ups and prototypes.
  • Proposing corrective actions.
  • Transferring knowledge gained during the development phase to production operators.
  • Recording realization tracking documents.

This role allows you to interact with numerous stakeholders: business preparers, methods, project teams, design offices, technologists, and production centers.

The Plus Points of This Offer

  • Technological environment
  • Supportive team
  • Mentorship

Your Profile

You have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical interconnection and electronic board realization. You are proficient with IT tools and can read electronic assembly plans. Ideally, you know the principles of gluing and varnishing electronic boards. Holding electrical certifications, IPC A610, or IPC A620 would be a plus.

You work with precision, rigor, and responsiveness. You take pride in a job well done and appreciate teamwork. You will benefit from significant technical resources and an environment conducive to exchanges; you will thus develop your skills and participate in increasingly important projects.
