Responsibilities of an IT Senior Application Analyst
The IT Senior Application Analyst serves a primary role in the support of software programs or modules across multiple clinical and/or business functions. This role involves understanding the business environment and the impact IT can have, providing analysis and support for installed systems, and managing system implementation and integration projects, including design, build, testing, and implementation for specific modules or applications.
You will function as a liaison between clinical, business, and technical areas during the planning process, providing oversight throughout the project cycle and building credibility with customers to understand their needs. Responsibilities include researching requests to determine scope, size, and impact, validating requirement information with stakeholders, and ensuring solutions satisfy stated requirements.
Maintaining in-depth knowledge of existing systems and certification in vended applications is crucial. You will design, develop, or modify applications, algorithms, or rules via vendor tools or augmented tools developed within Mayo Clinic, while validating data integrity of introduced changes. The IT Senior Application Analyst works on strategic projects with a Project Manager and can manage small to mid-sized operational projects independently across multiple departments and divisions. Additionally, you will create and evaluate test plans, guide and advise less experienced business analysts, and provide orientation and training for new employees.
Maintaining knowledge of current and emerging technologies affecting enterprise processes and awareness of overall enterprise architecture is expected. This position may require 24/7 on-call support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years’ experience OR Associate’s Degree with 6 years’ experience.
- Vendor application certification may be required.
Compensation and Schedule
This is a Full-Time, exempt position with a schedule of Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The compensation for this role ranges from $100,339 - $140,462 per year, with benefits eligibility. This position is 100% remote within the United States.
