Role Overview
We are seeking three IT Cloud Engineers to join our Cloud App Factory and AI Factory teams within Cloud Services (Infrastructure). In this role, you will develop and enable features and capabilities within existing products, focusing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. You will be instrumental in designing, delivering, and supporting enterprise cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enable features and capabilities in existing products using GCP.
- Utilize a range of GCP services including Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, Workflows, Cloud Functions, Cloud Load Balancing, IAM & IAP, VPC Service Controls, Private Service Connect, VPC networking, and Cloud Armor.
- Experience with Terraform, Python, Azure Pipelines, Azure DevOps, Google Cloud APIs, Apigee APIs, automation tools, Cloud Load Balancing, Akamai Web Security, IAP, Checkov, Veracode, SailPoint, service accounts, ServiceNow, and SharePoint is required.
- Develop moderately complex scripts to automate tasks and processes.
- Develop and maintain tools and frameworks for other teams to facilitate application development (DevOps).
- Ensure cloud solutions comply with architectural standards and collaborate with information security to maintain a secure environment.
- Support compliance with role-based access control (RBAC), cost containment, and cloud provider account management.
- Evaluate enterprise cloud technology standards, tools, and solutions for improvement opportunities.
- Assist with planning and validating the installation, configuration, and maintenance of cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with developers and be responsible for the "Ops" part of DevOps.
- Works to integrate cloud solutions with existing enterprise tools and systems.
- Performs evaluations of enterprise cloud technology standards, tools, products, and solutions to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Works with information security to ensure Cloud solutions support maintenance of a secure technology environment.
- Assists with planning and validating the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cloud solutions.
- Supports compliance of role-based access control (RBAC), cost containment and cloud provider account management.
- Assists in developing time and cost estimates for cloud solutions.
- May develop, review, and modify Cloud systems specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
- Participates in evaluation of technical requirements to determine the impact of Cloud technologies on the infrastructure including equipment redundancy and capacity requirements.
- Supports and maintains the physical design for cloud-based solutions for infrastructure and platforms.
- On-call support for off-hours as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ experience (1 year leadership) OR Associate’s degree with 5 years’ experience (1 year leadership) OR HS/GED with 7 years’ experience in a large, complex organization.
- Experience deploying and operating on a public cloud framework.
- Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships.

- Familiarity with service design and pricing in cloud-based solutions.
- Experience with cloud deployment, technical and security architecture, database architecture, virtualization, software design, software development, IP networking, Linux, Agile development, SCRUM, application lifecycle management, .NET, programming languages, technical solution architecture, SOA, Windows Azure, Amazon AWS.
- Cloud engineering certification required within 12-24 months (e.g., Google Associate Cloud Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Terraform Associate).
