Job Summary
Maxwood Furniture is seeking a Trucking Operations Manager to join their Warehouse team. This role is based in a newly renovated 500,000 square foot warehouse in Marion, South Carolina. The position oversees daily trucking operations including timely pick-up and delivery of 150-200 containers a month from the Port of Charleston, drayage, and additional customer deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of drivers and support staff.
- Optimize delivery routes and schedule timely deliveries.
- Ensure fleet maintenance and adherence to safety/regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with Shipping & Receiving and other departments.
- Prepare performance and cost reports while monitoring the budget.
- Handle service-related delivery issues and operational improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in trucking operations management.
- Experience in Trucking or Logistics, and in leadership roles.
- Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of trucking regulations and safety standards.
