About the role
Senior Talent Acquisition Analyst
Maximus is seeking a Senior Analyst for Talent Acquisition Technology Enablement. This role is crucial for optimizing our recruiting systems and processes, focusing on how they function behind the scenes to support recruiters. You will be responsible for improving the utilization of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and related tools, troubleshooting issues, streamlining workflows, and automating/standardizing processes organization-wide. A significant part of this role involves supporting the consolidation of multiple teams or acquired groups onto a shared ATS configuration to ensure consistency and scalability.
You will partner closely with Talent Acquisition (TA), HRIS, and cross-functional teams to enhance system performance, streamline processes, and elevate the recruiter experience across the organization. If you excel at solving complex system and process challenges, possess hands-on experience in improving ATS workflows, supporting enhancements, and standardizing processes for multiple teams, this role is an excellent fit. We are looking for individuals who combine strong critical thinking with a customer-focused mindset and are passionate about enabling recruiters through technology, automation, and optimized processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic partner for TA technology enablement, supporting the implementation, optimization, integration, and adoption of recruiting platforms and vendor solutions (e.g., ATS, CRM, automation tools, assessments, AI screening technologies) across the recruiting lifecycle.
- Independently manage complex analytical and system-related requests, applying critical thinking and root cause analysis to identify technology, process, or data gaps. Deliver scalable solutions while managing multiple concurrent initiatives and deadlines.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on TA systems, reporting capabilities, and configuration impacts, providing guidance on functionality, best practices, and system-related decision-making.
- Translate TA system changes and workflow updates into clear communications and enablement materials. Document and standardize workflows, reporting methodologies, and best practices.
- Partner with functional areas to support system enhancements, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives that enable scalable recruiting operations and an improved user experience.
- Monitor TA technology adoption, utilization, and performance, identifying risks, trends, and improvement opportunities. Support user enablement through training materials, job aids, knowledge sharing, and leadership presentations.
- Analyze recruiting workflows and system usage to identify inefficiencies, friction points, and automation opportunities. Recommend and support technology-enabled improvements to increase recruiter productivity, process consistency, and scalability.
- Ensure data integrity, governance, and reporting accuracy across TA systems (e.g., Avature, Workday, assessment platforms), proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Perform advanced analyses of recruiting programs and hiring metrics (e.g., sourcing strategies, funnel performance, time-to-fill, quality of hire, workforce trends) and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance TA dashboards, reporting frameworks, and data visualizations, translating complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience supporting system enhancements, configuration changes, or ATS-driven process improvements.
- Experience participating in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), or ATS implementation.
- Experience bringing multiple teams, business units, or acquired organizations onto a shared ATS or standardized TA process, preferred.
- Experience working with ATS platforms (Avature preferred but not required).
- Experience in Talent Acquisition, TA operations, HR technology, or related fields.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
