The Team
Join the Global Product Design Team working on brands such as Barbie, Hot Wheels, UNO, and more. Collaborate with a passionate, cross-functional team spanning the globe in one of the industry's leading design-led toy companies.
The Opportunity
Mattel, Inc. is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Game Designer to join its Games Design team. The role involves:
- Generating new opportunities to enhance the brand.
- Working on existing brands and developing games from scratch.
- Building consensus throughout the design process.
- Collaborating with Development, Engineering, Packaging, and Cost Engineering teams.
- Communicating concepts with design, marketing, and creative departments.
- Managing projects from design through development.
- Daily communication with Asia partners.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Understanding of game play fundamentals and game design.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and other 2D computer programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Adobe Creative Suite proficiency.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD (Alias, Rhino 3D is a plus).
- Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Project management skills and interest in current game trends.
- A compelling portfolio demonstrating design excellence and problem-solving.
Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary range is between $52,400 and $92,000, based on location, skills, and experience. Mattel offers competitive pay programs, comprehensive benefits, and resources to empower every employee.
