The Team
Located in Montreal at the Mattel Building Sets Campus, our creative hub focuses on developing Mattel Brick Shop and Mega Bloks products for a global audience. Cross-functional teams work together to support innovation and creativity.
The Opportunity
The Brand Design team creates visual communication strategies across multiple touchpoints. The Playbook Design function shapes consumer experiences by translating product intent, play patterns, and brand guidelines into engaging playbooks and instructional materials. This role reports to the packaging manager and collaborates with various departments to produce high-quality designs.
- Design and develop instructional booklets clearly communicating build steps and play patterns.
- Collaborate with product design, marketing, and cross-functional teams.
- Translate technical information into intuitive and engaging visuals.
- Prepare and present assets for review and approval.
- Manage timelines and production milestones accurately.
What We’re Looking For
1 to 3 years of design experience in instructional or product design. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Adobe XD) and Microsoft Office is required. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Adaptability in a fast-paced environment, an interest in emerging design trends, and a growth mindset are essential. Bilingualism is an asset.
