Overview

Mastercard powers economies and empowers people in over 200 countries and territories. In this role as Sr Specialist, Data Operations, you will work with Mastercard’s rich data assets to derive mission critical datasets, insights, and reports that support business operations and customer contract administration. You will also help define country pricing strategy and implement initiatives to strengthen Mastercard’s competitive position in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess interchange initiatives from strategic, customer, financial, risk, and feasibility perspectives.
  • Supervise cost studies supporting Interchange propositions.
  • Prepare recommendations and decision-making materials for management.
  • Manage recurring business processes using database datasets, SQL ETL, and data conversions for end user materials/BI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Finance, GTO, Legal, Customers, and consultants.

Profile and Key Requirements

Candidates should have excellent analytical skills and be proficient in structuring rigorous analysis using SQL, R, Tableau, and MS Excel. A strong drive to learn new platforms, join data from multiple sources, and manage small to complex projects is essential. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a matrix environment and commands mastery over analysis, modeling, and finance concepts.
