Job Overview
The Software Engineer II provides application software support through programming, analysis, design, development, and delivery of software solutions. The role involves researching alternative technical solutions to meet evolving business needs.
Major Accountabilities
- Programming, testing, implementation, documentation, maintenance, and support in line with Mastercard standards.
- Developing secure, scalable software solutions based on technical specifications and design artifacts.
- Researching and evaluating technical solution alternatives for current and upcoming technologies.
- Conducting feasibility studies, system flowcharting, cost and time analysis.
- Collaborating with project teams, managing production incidents, and supporting on-call pager rotations.
- Documenting programs per industry best practices and Mastercard’s quality standards.
- Assisting senior team members with document template modifications and process improvements.
- Collecting and reporting project and software metrics.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience. 1 to 3 years of experience in the software engineering field is required.

- Strong initiative, self-motivation, eagerness to learn.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) with strong collaborative skills.
- Able to work in a matrix-based, diverse, and geographically distributed team.
