Title and Summary

Manager, Technical Accounting

Overview

The Manager, Technical Accounting reports to the Director, Technical Accounting and is responsible for providing accounting guidance for complex business transactions including revenue transactions, vendor agreements, acquisitions, investments and ensuring company policies are maintained or established when needed.

Role

  • Research and plan implementation of new accounting pronouncements.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are updated for standardization and compliance.
  • Perform and document accounting research for US and International GAAP treatment.
  • Assist in financial decision making using alternate accounting structures.
  • Conduct purchase price accounting and valuation for acquired entities.
  • Provide guidance on pipeline M&A transactions and investment accounting.
  • Support quarterly intangible impairment assessments and SEC compliance.
  • Develop training content and communicate new accounting pronouncements.
  • Assist senior management with special requests and detailed analysis.

All About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant required.
  • Strong credibility as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Hyperion and Oracle a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

For roles performed in the US, a competitive base salary is offered with eligibility for annual bonus or commissions. Benefits include comprehensive insurance, paid leave, 401k with company match, tuition reimbursement, and fitness benefits among others.
