Manager, Fintech Co-brand Business Development
Overview
The co-brand business development team drives Mastercard market share by securing new fintech deals and supporting renewals. The focus is on digital fintech payment products such as Credit and Prepaid programs through a comprehensive evaluation process. This role works cross-functionally (digital, issuer, merchant, marketing, services, finance, legal) to drive new revenue and Gross Dollar Volume (GDV) for Mastercard.
Role & Responsibilities
- Sell Mastercard's "Why Mastercard" story to key fintech partners, including renewals.
- Educate digital fintech partners on Mastercard's offerings and develop co-brand products.
- Research fintech trends and develop frameworks for identifying viable opportunities.
- Create persuasive presentation documents and support customer pitches.
- Develop deals and financial models while collaborating with internal teams.
- Negotiate terms in line with Mastercard's strategic and revenue targets.
- Manage Salesforce records, contract management, and update opportunities regularly.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to launch co-brand products.
- Cultivate external relationships to support sales pipeline and process improvement.
All About You
You are a team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and can-do attitude. Excellent relationship management, business judgment, creative presentation skills, and project management abilities are essential. You should possess strong negotiation skills, keen customer insight, financial modeling expertise, and cross-functional knowledge. Experience within fintech, co-brand or card partnerships is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred with at least 5 to 6 years in a client-facing role.
