All About The Role
The Business Development Director, in partnership with the existing team, will drive growth of Mastercard Advisors business in the South-East Europe division, one of Europe’s fastest growing regions, including Israel, Romania, Croatia, Serbia & Bulgaria. Their efforts with be focused on developing new business and creating strong partnerships with financial institutions, retailers, FinTechs and Government entities within payments and beyond.
Business Growth & Sales Execution
- Shape and execute Mastercard Advisors’ growth strategy for Israel, as part of the SEE division
- Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract signature, while managing a healthy and transparent pipeline
- Identify emerging opportunities to drive new business
- Develop compelling, well-structured proposals and present confidently to senior executives
Client Relationship Management
- Build and nurture strong relationships across C-level and mid-management within existing accounts
- Expand client base and uncover new opportunities (incl. partnerships)
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner for clients
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with local and regional product, client services, and sales teams to support strategic initiatives
- Ensure seamless handover and collaboration with project delivery teams, identifying follow on opportunities
Leadership & Knowledge Building
- Support recruiting, onboarding and development of team members
- Contribute to new intellectual capital and internal best practices
All About You
- Consulting experience from a top-rated consulting firm, payments/ banking expertise and experience in helping financial institutions at the executive leadership level is desirable
- Native Hebrew speaker with advanced English proficiency
- Strong sales track record and commercial mindset
- Excellent communication, relationship‑building and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities
- High comfort operating in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Proficiency with GenAI tools to enhance productivity and delivery
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Education Needed
- Undergraduate degree required
- MBA or relevant post graduate degree (beneficial but not critical)
