Overview
The Compliance Specialist for the Center for Law, Brain & Behavior (CLBB) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) supports legal, regulatory, and ethical compliance across operational, research, and diversion program activities. This role ensures adherence to institutional policies, ethical standards, data protection requirements, and partner agreements in the context of CLBB’s criminal justice and neuroscience initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with laws, policies, and grant obligations.
- Serve as point of contact for legal and regulatory matters related to CLBB programs.
- Draft, review, and coordinate approval of MOUs and data-sharing agreements.
- Oversee compliance requirements for partner organizations in diversion programming.
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops on legal compliance and ethics.
- Track compliance metrics and prepare reports for leadership and funders.
- Assist in policy development, legal briefs, and advocacy for criminal justice reform.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree required; JD or Master’s strongly desired. Minimum 2 years experience in compliance, legal services, or related fields; experience with criminal justice systems and diversion programs is preferred. Must have knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA, and data privacy laws, along with strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Additional Details
This is a hybrid role based in Boston, MA at 15 Parkman Street. Scheduled weekly hours are 40. Compensation is competitive, with base pay estimated between $62,400.00 and $90,750.40 annually, plus comprehensive benefits.
