About The Position
This is a full-time, direct-hire, remote position. Candidates located in Washington, D.C. or New York are strongly preferred. The role requires exceptional writing skills, a strong work ethic in journalism, and the ability to independently research and deliver both breaking news and in-depth enterprise stories. The reporter must be adept at writing under tight deadlines while also developing substantial investigative or explanatory pieces.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clean, accurate, and engaging content.
- Anticipate and pre-write for upcoming events, cover breaking news, propose enterprise story ideas, and provide insightful analysis.
- Stay informed about current news trends.
- Cultivate and maintain sources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Over 10 years of experience as a beat reporter producing major enterprise features.
- Experience working in deadline-driven newsroom environments.
