What You Can Expect

The Assistant General Counsel Global Trade Compliance role provides strategic legal guidance on Marvell’s global trade compliance program. Key regulatory areas include the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other applicable import/export laws. Responsibilities include developing and operationalizing compliance programs, drafting regulatory filings, leading a global compliance team, and implementing technology tools to streamline processes. You will partner with multiple business functions to integrate trade compliance throughout the organization and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Provide clear legal advice on export and trade regulations.
  • Manage and lead a global trade compliance team.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on supply chain due diligence.

Qualifications & Required Skills

Candidates must hold a Juris Doctorate and be licensed to practice law in the United States along with a customs broker license. A minimum of 10 years of experience advising multinational businesses on legal trade compliance matters is required, preferably within the semiconductor industry. Experience in leading global teams, excellent communication skills, and the ability to distill complex legal concepts are essential. Additionally, candidates should have deep expertise in U.S. export controls and trade sanctions, be comfortable managing multi-functional projects, and be ready to travel globally as needed.
