Overview
Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) located in the heart of West Texas is seeking a Quality Coordinator. Established in 1967, MCHD has grown to a state of the art 18 bed Critical Access Hospital located on I20 near Stanton, Texas.
Summary of Responsibilities
The Quality Coordinator is responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and analyzing data to drive quality improvement and ensure regulatory compliance under the supervision of the Director of Quality. Key duties include:
- Submitting chart abstracted data and generating reports using Excel.
- Gathering and tracking data from chart audits and other sources.
- Uploading required reports on deadlines.
- Record keeping and coordination of meetings, including taking minutes.
- Drafting professional correspondence and supporting special projects (training, presentations, policy revisions).
- Handling highly confidential information.
- Assisting with Patient Advocacy by investigating and facilitating resolution of complaints and grievances.
Requirements
Education: Graduate from a School of Professional Nursing (LVN or RN). Licenses/Certificates: Must hold a valid nursing license by the Texas Board of Nursing or other state via the Nursing Compact. Experience: Minimum 3 years in healthcare with clinical background, familiarity with quality measures and reporting is a plus. Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; strong Excel skills preferred. Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; professional telephone manner required. Other: Ability to type 40-45 wpm, recordkeeping, transcribing from electronic sources, and operating office equipment.
