Job Details

Job Overview

The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring account level merchandising activities are fully executed and all front-line marketing tactics are utilized at the point of purchase for Quality Beverage.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maximize the distribution of Quality Beverage products.
  • Develop strong professional relationships with customers.
  • Build high impact displays in appropriate accounts.
  • Maintain physical inventory and fill coolers at key retail accounts.
  • Cover sales routes during various periods throughout the year.
  • Monitor competitive activity related to sales and marketing.
  • Support sales promotions and special events (includes nights and weekends).
  • Comply with legal guidelines, safety requirements and company policies.
  • Assist in the daily upkeep of the POCM warehouse and complete paperwork.
  • Identify and place permanent point of connection materials in accounts.
  • Support sales staff on cooler resets.
  • Ensure all POCM is properly themed and current.
  • Monitor and rotate close coded product, note breakage and damage.
  • Operate various power equipment safely.
  • Create and print basic retail signage.
  • Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Effective communication, ability to learn product knowledge, flexible hours, independent work and initiative, self-motivated team player.

Education/Training/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required; College degree or equivalent work experience preferred; valid Massachusetts driver’s license and registration required.

Physical Demands and Environment

Must be able to lift up to 165 lbs, be on your feet for extended periods, handle detailed tasks, travel in various weather conditions and remain alert while operating power equipment and setting up displays.
