Overview
The Marketing Communications Assistant and Digital Media Strategist at Marriott International directly reports to the Director of Marketing Communications and is a vital member of the Marcom Team under the Sales & Marketing Department. This role provides broad marketing communications support, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and ensures adherence to global brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Function: Reporting directly to the Director, managing budgets, processing requests, tracking projects through action logs, and organizing regular team meetings.
Report Generation: Monitoring and updating the annual balanced scorecard, preparing monthly reports with insights and recommendations.
Business Communications: Formulating comprehensive marketing communications plans, writing and proofreading copy, and coordinating editorial and advertising content across owned, paid, and earned media.
Stakeholder Relations: Building strong relationships with hotel executives, media, partners, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution and brand compliance.
Digital Media: Developing and executing digital media strategies, managing social media, and collaborating with key opinion leaders to increase brand visibility.
Supporting Functions
This role also emphasizes safety and security, crisis communications, quality assurance, guest relations, and teamwork to maintain a productive work environment.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates possess strong analytical, decision-making, and interpersonal skills, with a background in marketing, communications, or hospitality management. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
